Please briefly introduce yourself and your AZFA Center:

I am Alireza Nabiloo, the president of the Persian language teaching center of Qom University, I have been working in this center as a professor of Persian language and literature since 1400. I hope my answers can help:

What is your opinion about the role of recruiting international students in making Persian the reference language of science?

Persian language is one of the most important languages ​​in the world, which has a very strong background and has played an effective role in advancing human knowledge. Since ancient times, this language has been the language of science, literature and verbal art of Iran, and in the present era, it is one of the most beautiful and melodious languages ​​in the world. Recruiting international students is one of the best ways to promote and spread this language and this is very important in making Persian the reference language of science and knowledge in the world today, especially in the Islamic world. The presence of these students in Iran and learning Persian will cause them to publish and it after returning to their countries, and this will turn Persian one of the reference languages ​​of human knowledge. A situation that happened before with other languages ​​such as English, French and German.

Please tell me, does your university center have certain strategies to spread the Persian and recruit students?

The Farsi Language Center of Qom University has taken effective steps in line with the path taken by Qom University, which means that the university has become one of the international poles, especially in Islamic sciences, and now its results are especially in relation to Arab countries, including Iraq and Syria visible. The center, with a goal-setting process undertaken in the Strategic Council of the institution and center in line with the university's objectives, has formulated detailed programs and comprehensive strategies for the admission and expansion of international student recruitment. Parts of which have been observed in the activities of the center over the past few years. It is worth mentioning that since November 2021 till now, Persian language training courses have been held for 1670 students and 8 proficiency test courses have been compiled and held for 490 students, which would have been almost impossible without a specific strategy and comprehensive planning.

What do you think should be done to increase the attractiveness of studying in Iran?

The attractiveness of education is tied to various social, cultural, scientific, economic, etc. factors, and the study of this in countries that have managed to recruit more students shows that the success in recruiting students is influenced by the facilitation of various factors such as entry and exit status. Students and consular conditions, common language understanding, cultural alignment, social and psychological peace, the scientific authority of the host country and its influence in the world, the amount of student fees and other factors. Fortunately, our beloved country, Iran, is in a very good condition in many ways, and it is necessary to remove the obstacles that make it difficult for foreign students to attend in order to see the maximum attendance of these students. It is necessary for the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, universities and centers to pay more attention in this matter.

What is your opinion about the role of the fair in spreading the Persian language and making Persian a reference language?

Fairs through visualizing the content, exposing the contents, facing executive agents with study applicants, clarifications through face-to-face discussions, as well as activating the virtual part of the fair and the possibility of remote access has a crucial role in introducing the position of Persian and its achievements, this will help making Persian a reference language. Integrating the achievements of all centers in the fair, the possibility of exchanging opinions and information, and taking examples from the activities of colleagues in different centers will lead to more fruitful experiences and performances, which will lead to the integration of experiences in the development of the Persian language.

What do you think about the international fair of study?

Such fairs will be effective in introducing the educational attractions of different universities in the country and will give applicants or their guides the possibility to compare and choose, so that they can be informed about the capacity of different universities and also the capabilities of Persian language education centers according to their needs.

Please tell me what is the role of your center in holding and increasing the attractiveness of the fair?

The Persian Language Center of Qom University is of interest to many students from neighboring countries, especially Arab countries, due to the pilgrimage, scientific and cultural centrality of Qom province and city. Naturally, our center will also participate actively in the upcoming fair along with other centers by preparing brochures, clips, interviews and films while introducing the center, explaining some of the attractions of the province and Qom University and the reasons for inviting applicants to study in this center. On the other hand, religious features, cultural products and souvenirs of Qom province have always been interesting and we hope that these capacities will also be used in the fair. Meanwhile, another part of this matter is explained and introduced by the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation of Qom University.

Tell me, to what extent do the students of your centers will participate in this fair?

The aim of the center is to use the different capacities of the center's students in the upcoming fair. Before this, the participation of Iraqi students in holding the Arbaeen ceremony and sending its pictures to the center has been experienced, which shows the intensity of the students' enthusiasm in reflecting this important issue in Persian. Naturally, in this fair, it is decided to take advantage of such capacities because the presence of guest students will encourage the presence of new students and applicants in Iran.

What do you think about the accessories and display items of a successful presence of an AZFA center in the international fair?

It seems that the successful presence of each center is related to several factors, some of which are mentioned: attractive visual effects of each booth, guide brochures and images, videos and interviews guiding applicants, introduction of the center's achievements, handicrafts and culture. provinces and universities, holding a webinar with the heads or experts of the centers in the online introduction of each center, selling resources and books with more discounts and public like this, along with capable experts who are at least fluent in English and Arabic, and also the friendliness of these agents, will help to hold a more quality fair.

Do you have a special suggestion for the fair headquarters?

In the end, it is recommended to establish a permanent secretariat of the center fair, so that the introduction of attractions is not limited to only a few days of the fair, and through the secretariat's website, all achievements, products, clips and interviews, etc., in English, Arabic and Persian to be available to other interested parties.
